Hey there, I'm Cairelle!

I’m a nonfiction writer whose work explores genealogy, folklore, and women’s spirituality. I’m also a registered nurse, medical writer, and genealogist, and I bring an evidence-based perspective to my writing, weaving history and science into my work. I’m the author of The Magic in Your Genes and the forthcoming Motherline Grimoire, among others. My current projects include an oracle card deck and a novel about the complicated ways we define family. When I’m not writing, I’m often traveling the world in search of grandmothers or wandering the woods near my home in Virginia.
