In my years of working with (mostly) USA-based clients, I have discovered that far too many are very removed from the fullness of their family lineage. Descendants of settlers, colonizers, and immigrants have shared with me a sense of cultural loss, a spiritual disconnect, and a distinct lack of knowing their full ancestral heritage. Descendants of Enslaved Persons often have the additional burden of a "brick wall" beyond which some, or many, of their ancestors remain, unknown and inaccessible. Adult Adoptees typically have no information at all. Every single person has work to do in the realm of ancestral healing and lineage adjustment.

Thankfully we now have wonderful tools at our disposal to help recover ancestral knowledge that may be lost to time, to verify what we've been told, to bring new information to light. Ethnicity estimates and cousin matches from DNA testing, combined with traditional "paper" research, can work to break down brick walls, give a firm foundation on which to create a family story based in genealogical truth, and restore our inner awareness of the genetic legacy our ancestors bequeathed to each of us in a unique way.

SERVICES OFFERED

GROUP PRESENTATIONS AND WORKSHOPS

I present a variety of educational genealogy lectures and workshops and I am available for custom group presentations and speaking engagements.

Group Rates

$50/pp for a two-hour instructional workshop (4-6 people, min/max)
$200 for a 1-2 hour group presentation
Most workshops require a completed DNA test and a laptop.
Custom workshops and presentations can be arranged. Just ask!

I also facilitate a training intensive, Priestess of Sacred Roots, for those who want to walk the path of genealogy magic.

ADOPTEE GENEALOGY AND REPARATIONAL GENEALOGY

As part of my service as a priestess, I work with Adult Adoptees and Descendants of Enslaved Persons at no charge, however, there is a wait list.

WHY WORK WITH ME?

I have been regularly engaged in traditional genealogy research for 25+ years, actively working with genetic genealogy for over a decade, and I am skilled in research techniques related to both.
I belong to several local and national-level professional organizations and have undertaken many hours of concentrated study with them.
I stay up-to-date with peer groups and continuing education classes.
I am passionate about woman-focused genealogical research and facilitating deep maternal ancestral connections via autosomal and mitochondrial genealogy. I believe it is important to for all women to be empowered with the knowledge needed to research their own divine female bloodline.
I believe that knowing one's ancestral roots and family history is a basic human right and not a privilege. Adult Adoptees and Descendants of Enslaved Persons are often unable to access information and participate in depth with available genealogy research due to a system that historically has been in place to suppress discovery. I work hard to even the odds so that every single person can know their ancestral truths!
I recognize the importance of end-of-life genealogy planning, especially when it comes to leaving a legacy for the generations that follow. My 30+ years of experience as an RN also means I am comfortable at the bedside of people who are nearing the end of life, with all that can entail.
As a magical person, I know and understand the importance of incorporating ancestral knowledge into the day-to-day life for many like-minded people.
In my own personal search for roots, I have come to discover a deep and meaningful spiritual practice that is based on that of the ancestors from whom I descend, and it's been life-changing. I would love to pass that along to everyone who engages in genealogy research!
